Spread in two states Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, the Pench National Park was in much limelight because of the tigress Colarwali. The Pench tiger reserve is one of the important tiger reserves in the central India and it is also known as the home of Mowgli. For the safaris there are many gates like the Turia, Karmazari and Jamtara gates in Madhya Pradesh and the Khursapar, Sillari, Chorbahuli in the state of Maharashtra. Sir Rudyard Kipling’s novel finds its inspiration from the Pench tiger reserve. Some years back Pench National park saw a new entrant, the ‘Black Panther’ increasing the tourist inflow to catch a glimpse of him.
