Dudhwa, an immensely dense forest that lies on the India-Nepal border is one of the lesser known forests in India. This forest belongs to the highly diverse and productive Terai ecosystem. Though tiger sighting here is not as much common as compared to the forests in central India, still this place is a must visit for all the jungle lovers for its spectacular beauty.
Animals that are seen here are tigers, leopards, elephants, Rhino, Fishing cat, Bear, Crocodile/Alligators to name a few. Apart from this here you can see around 300 species of birds. Kishanpur wildlife sanctuary is also a part of Dudhwa National Park and safari can also be taken from here. The safaris for Dudhwa are from Salukapur, Sonaripur and Sathiyana.
How to reach here – One can reach here either by flight to Lucknow or by train upto Lakhimpur railway station.
